Kaisan Cafe

Kaisan Cafe is a popular bakery café located in Tapiola in Espoo, Finland.  The bakery was founded in 1987 by a lady called Kaisa.  Still thirty years later the bakery is still using and honoring Kaisa’s recipes. Kaisan Cafe has become really popular over the years and many people come every day to enjoy the hand baked goods such as the famous traditionally baked huge cinnamon buns.  The product range includes for example savory pies, sweet pies and carrot, chocolate, mousse and cheesecakes that are baked in the café every day.  Kaisan Cafe also offers customized products such as cream cakes, fondant cakes and sandwich cakes.

I have been working in Kaisan Café as a baker and pastry chef since January 2017 when it expanded and opened a renewed café in the center of Tapiola just next to the original location.

At Kaisan Cafe I have learnt how to bake quality products from scratch for a large customer base and how to estimate the total consumption of products. I work very independently and I’ve been responsible for the café and the café employees when the owners are absent. Working at Kaisan Café offers new challenges every day and that’s why I enjoy it.
