Hello,
My name is Riina Sinkko and I am a 23 year old pastry chef and baker student at Omnia vocational school in Espoo, Finland.
I’ve
been interested in food as long as I can remember and cooking and
baking have always played a big role in my family’s daily life. I have
been working at the restaurant field since 2012 gaining knowledge and
working experience first as a café employee and a barista and later as a
baker and pastry chef. During these years I realized that I want to be a
professional pastry chef and turn my passion into a career.
I
enjoy baking because it offers endless opportunities for using
imagination and I often find myself trying out and developing new
techniques at my free time. For me baking is about bringing joy and
happiness to people through delicious and beautiful treats.
I
am a positive and open minded person with a lot of determination and
passion. As a social person I enjoy learning new perspectives from
people around me. I love traveling because it offers an opportunity to
learn about different cultures and ways of living. Music is also a big
part of my life.
In Lisbon I will be working at Belcanto restaurant.
